Does anyone else use this new version of Hotmail called Outlook   ?

Its carp TBH  but all my letterheads have the address on so I'm stuck  with it . :(

Anyone know how to edit "Contacts"?  It seems to be a secret. :C

Oh boy, Microsoft like to confuse people.

Outlook used to be an email client program.

NOW they are using Outlook.com as the new name for hotmail.com  That's what Deke is asking about.

Cloud9 ,  firstly you need to take on board the fact that I'm not exactly an expert in computerspeak .

So l'm sitting comfortably so lets begin ...with what is a domain ?

Hotmail seemed to work quite well as in ... I sent and received emails without any problem  but now they 've altered it stuff is hidden away .

I tend to think lateraly in straight lines , focusing on the bleedin' obvious  so when I come to find a "Contact" from my list  which used to be called "My contacts"  I find there is no list with that name but after much pratting about  I find if I click on the word "To"    the list appears .

Now why didn't I think of that ............stupid boy!!!

Deke,

You can still have your hotmail.com or hotmail.co.uk email address.

You don't HAVE to swap over to outlook.com, though you can add these addresses if you want.

If you are really stuck, I'll remote in if you like & sort it for you one evening?

HOWEVER, I have to reiterate what Canoe says, try to move clear of them if you can.

I have had problems with receiving and sending emails on Hotmail, so I am moving away from it as much as I can.

Thanks for that offer Sidey , I'll bear it in mind .

I've now  found how to edit contacts ,  being a bit stupid I tend to look for a promt such as  "Edit contacts"  and if its not immediatly apparent I throw a wobbly .

What are the problems you find with these free email services then ?

My non work one seems OK  ...thats an........ @btinternet.com .

I have little trouble with the MS  Hotmail thing other than it attracts a load of spam , which mostly gets sidelined .
