How Does This Email Get Through ?

I have an email address that starts with  e-vanselectric@ .........         how does a scammer email     (from Mrs Didi Something or other,  claiming to have big threepenny bits & a big ass & wants to send me pictures ) ......get through with the address

Evanselevators etc etc ?  :C

The address displayed isn't necessarily the address it was actually sent to. In the headers most of the info is fake/forged and the content is usually computer generated so it is not accurate. This is the nature of spam.

Thanks Lurchio .     Most of these emails addresses end with .br    ( as ours are UK )    What would the br be . ?

had a few of those lately 'spoof' emails. uses my name and company name as per my regualr e-mail, but ends in @something else, which happens to be a genuine company in the USA. Firking annoying as they seem to have accessed some of my cutomers e-mails. Now I'm not sure if that is by hacking my email contacts or accessing stuff via Facebook or similar???

I get the same.... I wonder if it's me or them that's been hacked.. some of mine are from people who are only on my email contact list... not FB or the like
