What is the longest period of time that it's taken a customer to accept one of your quotes/estimates.

Just had one call accepting my quote to rewire their kitchen & replace faulty RCD on cu (TT system) + install main equip bonds.......................From March last year :D

But I liked the "How soon could you do the work" question..Applaud Smiley

probably 4 months so far. i do have a note on my quotes saying that they are only valid 42 days.

and im sure when they did accept that one, they wanted it done soon as

Yes I have printed on all my quotes

" this quote is only valid for a period of 30 days "

They seem to have missed that bit. I have been out to see them today & the only extra they want to the original quote is another dsso, so told them it'd only be another

This thread has just reminded me of a first fix i did 2 years ago in a kitchen

still not been asked to go a do the second fix yet !!!!!!!!!!

good job i got paid after first fix..

Just had one phone me up to book a rewire that I had given an estimate for a while back...

MAY 2007

I had a look through the estimate and my price is still good!!

It's a TT so I'd priced it with a 100A 100mA TD RCD main switch,,,, now it's getting a cheaper twin RCD CU!!

Did an estimate for a rewire for a friend of a friend in 1992. Geezer told me he could get it done for less so I said go ahead matey.

Same geezer asked me to rewire his gaff in 1997 cos the punter who did it cheaper made a howling james hunt of the job. He only wanted the job done for the same price I gave him previously. Told him to go forth and procreate.
