highlight the text & use the url button (little earth with chain link) next to text alignment under the white smiley in the full post editor & paste the url you wish to navigate too O)

clicky

or type without stars **

[**URL=http://www.talk.electricianforum.co.uk/index.php]clicky[**/URL]

I don't understand a word of that , Ducky, Its all I can do to conjure up Brian the Smilie. :coat

And no, don't explain it again, if I ever want to do whatever it is , I'll ask.

Deke

if you dont know the codes, click the hyperlink button (little globe with chain above where you type text), type URL, click OK. you can change the text between brackets (should be highlighted) to what you want the link text to appear as

maybe we could start another ignore thread to test this?

As far as I can see it doesn't work. I tried what I think Duck means, but when I highlight the text and press the globe nothing else happens - the text just stays highlighted. I tried pasting the url, but it just ends up as above.

If anyone can explain it in simple to understand English, with step by step instructions (for us Dummies) then that'd be great.

Hi PC try what andy has typed thats worked for me. Once youve copied the address into the hyperlink box, it pastes it into the reply and highlights part of it. Type clicky and ok this and it should work.

I've never bothered with the buttons myself, just type it all out.

If you just type what is in the box below in the reply box (without the 2 *'s)

Code:
[*url=www.bbc.co.uk]BBC Website[/url*]
you would get;

BBC Website

For Admin, the code tags don;'t work, I don;t understand why? I have a feeling you have something to do with it....
