Hi all, so I came across a motor starter today on a farm. It’s attached to a 5.5kw single phase motor for brushing barley. Now the starter is causing issues but trying to source a replacement is becoming an issue. Now, and this is where I need help, to me it works and looks like a Star/Delta Starter but it’s single phase. It’s needing replaced but trying to find a replacement is proving difficult as talking to the wholesaler, they don’t get what I’m asking for (which I understand as I don’t get it either). Can anyone offer advice on a replacement?

Cheers
Bobby

So since it looks like I won’t be getting any more pictures of this starter and motor, my question has now changed to What could it have been? There was 5 wires to the motor, 3 black - 6mm² ish size and 2 Red - 1.5mm² ones. The system is old, pre Brooke Crompton 2000 series I’m told, no mechanical interlock to stop start and run from energising together, which seems to to be the fault, Start Contactor is jamming in and it tries to switch over to run and the motor no likey
