Strange occurrence today, bear with me

All of the following points are relevant to the situation

Baby Grandaughter is in Hospital at moment

I am working too long hours and then travelling to Hospital from work, sometimes a 180 mile round trip depending where I am working

Today i serviced a Fire Alarm system and replaced some bits

My car is a mess with stuff all over the front seat and footwell

I have just collected some stuff to finish the Oak in my kitchen

I like crisps.

So M62 roadworks resulting in a big bang smoke ,sort of flames,

Panic then laughter

........................so any guesses as to what happened?................no prizes though-but................... :coat

You touched the breaks, oak board falls on crisp packet = bang

You are using that smoke in a can to test the fire alarm smoke detectors = smoke

You have a torch that also gets knocked on = flames in the smoke?

:C

In a haze of sleeplessness you suddenly thought you were a smoker, absent mindedly popping a birdscarer into your mouth whilst pressing the cigarette lighter down......the rest is history

**edit** cant seem to fit the crisps in there tho?? hmmmmmm

Ok Ok, a passing mime troupe held a small pantomime in the footwell of your car.......which you watched with some enjoyment whislt eating a snack of ......crisps! they produced the smoke and the bang with some small pyrotechnic effects when the baddie "BOO!! HISSSS!!!" came on.........

hes behind you! ;0

Nope.....some twonk on his mobile tried forcing me off the road on the M62 roadworks. I braked a bit too hard. 2 almost flat 2.6AH alarm batteries fell onto the floor from the seat.

Battery 1 burst the bag of crisps

Battery 2 landed on top of the wire wool which I had been using to rub the wax into the oak with [this brings out the knots better. This was an experiment at my mates so I was taking the results home and called to pick up more wire wool at the suppliers]

Wire wool ignited nicely as it had some wax residue on it, this then ignited some paper roll which was also lying abandoned in the footwell.

Simple really when you think about it................. :coat

BIG WARNING FOR YOU - don't use wire wool on oak. It traps tiny fibres and goes black. Use a synthetic alternative (the green scouring pads from the supermarket are ok).
