light switch as panic button.... i can see that getting a few false alarmsI agree with andy, I have used a normal light switch before but it can of course be turned off easily, most panic buttons have a plastic key to disengage the switch.
switch just needs to be normally closed (i.e in the 'on' position), wired to PA on alarmAnd how would one of these be wired into alarm? Just trying to learn cheers
Yup.dont forget if your alarm system has an eol setup like galaxy then that will require the correct resistors in the correct order in the Panic Attack unit, in order to work, some alarm systems like ours here uses resistors to monitor the alarm/panick circuit and tamper on the same line
veritas R8+ supports EOL.Yup.a modern system such as a galaxy only requires 2 pairs of cable as opposed to using 3 in a traditional type system such as a veritas.
