Bit obvious from the title I suppose

My new ipad4 is presently winging its way through the logistics network of the world and will be with me shortly

I need something for it to live in.  I have been looking at the Griffin and the Otterbox defender amongst others. I think I have narrowed it down to the Otterbox defender as the Griffin does not appear to have a screen protector.

What is everybody else using?      What would you recommend and what would you steer clear of like the plague?

Many  thanks

Mmmmm

I like the Lifepro one BUT I think I am going for the Otterbox Defender

Am I correct in presuming that the Defender fits the Ipad 2 Ipad 3 and Ipad 4?

Just trawling the 'net to find best price/availability now.....but will not order for a couple of days until this thread has had a few more responses/comments

I could think of a few unorthodox uses for the Lifepro if waterproof to 100m though-but :innocent

I have the griffin on iPad and quite happy with it so far. Although have noticed that when writing a letter it can be difficult to get to tap right to edges, but maybe I'm not aligning paper correctly?

The griffin has a screen protector, although its probably a good idea to put another sticky one over the top as if it does get scratched you can just put another on.

I got the griffin off amazon much cheaper than anywhere else at the time.

Griffin does have a screen protector plastic and is a very robust one have had the otter box also and like wise good for the job I personally prefer the griffin

 What would you recommend

i have the Otterbox Defender for my iPad3, what I can say is it's robust but adds a lot of weight.

I use my iPad with the Click NIC Cert software, which is still a bit buggy but they are getting there, so mounting the iPad on the lid/tray at a slight angle works really well and better than holding it in your hand IMO.
