Guys,

I am going to put together a talk.electricianforum.co.uk channel on Youtube. I am trying to download the Windows Media Encoder so that I can make a video of my screen etc.

I have seen the latest version of Windows Media Encoder 9 Series SDK; here: Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Windows Media Encoder 9 Series Software Development Kit

I am running Windows 7, but the Supported Operating Systems are: Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, for this.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Many thanks,

Admin.

Buy a Mac :slap
I knew you would chirp in with that. :_|

Just go with it, works fine on Windows 7And if it doesnt you can always set it to run in XP mode
I bought this PC as Windows 7, Phil. I didn't upgrade from XP to Windows 7 on it mate.

I did download it - thought it was worth a try, but when I looked on Youtube, I couldn't get the screen that they were showing. It was more of a blinking, information page, is all I could seem to get. I tried it with 'Run' and actually downloading to my PC.

How would I do it in "XP" mode mate? In a Dummys guide, please. :)

Many thanks,

Admin.

Find the program on you pc. right click. properties, compatability

then pick how you want to run it

I suspect the problem is something else though

You can download a free XP emulator for Win 7, and you can force the programme to run in XP mode.

Download WME and save to disk, run it from there and install.

Then see what happens (keep the download for now) when you run it.

Check for updates etc as well.
