Means of isolating and locking of electrical equipment is required when?

A Is at a distance from isolation

B Voltage is greater than 1000v a.c

C Supply voltage is greater than 1500v d.c

D In damp or wet conditions

I assume it's 'A' - think about it - someone could come and turn it back on if it's some distance away

It's not D, B&C are pleanty high enough to kill you so has to be A

where did that question come from none of them look right.should always isolate and have the key with yourself.

 
i think that one came from the IET forums, i'm just going through all the questions i have that im not sure of and posting them so i can see the responses and have a reasonable idea in case they come up next week

If isolator is remote from equipment, its locked so no-one can turn it back on without person working on equipment knowing about it.
