i have to re-wire a kitchen next week, well this week coming.. i dont think i can get underniether the floor boards, so i was planning to use capping for my drops and run surface mounted trunking along the skerting behind the units for containment protection.. is this OK?

I am using this for my NICEIC assessment... along with a CU change in the same property along with a new cooker circuit..

matt.

Yep, as mentioned in another thread a short while ago, that is fine.

do you have to put it in trucking behind the units as it wont be seen. Cant you just clip it direct on surface ??

Just wondered

Would the NIC inspector and BC be happy with this if it was clipped.....? the BC inspector is coming out on thursday afternoon anyway so i can ask him....

Surface behind units is fine, I do trunk most of time just for ease as clips on plaster walls drop out, the other way is a bit of roofing latt fixed horizontally gives something to clip to.

Also dont need to go to skirting level if its suface just below worktop is ok 800mm from floor 'copper is going up'Blushing
