Hi all,

I'm new to sparkying (nearly 3 years) and also new to fire alarms (same time) after a complete change of career when I turned 40.  

I'm reading and learning as much as I can, and going on various courses while doing a fair bit of hands-on with fire alarms for a company (but less so on the electrical side).

I've signed up here to blinded by the light of your knowledge.

At least you are doing electrical and fire alarm. In layman's terms:

Electrician = police officer

Fire alarm installer = PCSO

Door entry bloke = traffic warden.
