what would be the minmium you would use

customer wants 4 in a bathroom which will be fairly light anyway

looking at 4w ?????

mains

ive got 5 x 4watt in my bathroom and thats plenty, quite a dark area aswell so if there some natural light am sure 4x4w will be fine mate.

watts is meaningless, look at the lumens and work out how many you need

yep, but most LEDs are pretty much similar in lumens per watt out,

I wouldnt go for less than 4w for anything that needs lit up,!

CED do a 5.4w at half the price of a KOSNIC4w with slightly better light output for about half the price, if money is an issue.

I can get them for 7ish+ but then again I was paying almost 14ish+ from my local for KOSNICS, never knew in advance or needed that many so was just easier buying there,

have actually got some of the CEDs running beside the kosnics in my own house(to see the difference) and the missus prefers the CED,

they can be a tight fit in some holders though, so be warned,

saying that, the kosnics are the ONLY LED that I have yet used that simply plonk straight in to any fitting I have used.

i got one of those today to do a demo for the customer tomorrow

never had anything to do with LEDS and my 4 x GU10 fitting in my music room needs new lamps. I saw these but it says something about making sure its not a halogen base etc etc.... the fitting is mains voltage and they are halogens in there at present. I am assuming they are a straight swap?

honestly,

at 1.8W Id be staying well away, even with my dirty pooh stick.! :D

oh,

yes, the description seems very vague and confusing, sounds like a chinese seller with a contact for a UK seller address

Thanks Steps, as I said I havent used them before. I have a study, music room at the back of the house about 8' x 10' which has a 4x GU10 luminaire. Lighting has to be fairly good to read sheet music etc, have had 4x 50W halogens. So would value your opinion or recommendation.

thats quite a large room for only 4X fittings TBH, esp as to what you are using it for,

I would, if more lights are not an option, go for at least CEDs or else KOSNICS, the KOSNICS really are very good, but the 5.4w CEDs are very close, and, imho, the better VFM lamp.

oh, and go for cool white, ITR of 6000-6500k light spectrum, much superior light for your purpose compared to warm lamps,
