LED Replacement lamps

Hi got a mate just rung said in one of his houses he replaced his halogen lamps for led ones in his downlights in his kitchen now when he came to switch them off they just went dim and have stayed on ever since, put the same sort of lamps in bathroom downlights with no problem. not been to look yet any thoughts appreciated?

you mean they wont turn off? most likely a dodgy switch. do they get brighter when switched back on?

or it may even be inductance

2 way switching in the room?

Like Andy has said remember the first gen cfl's used to flicker when off due to inductance on strappers.........something along that line anyway.

Probably actually capacitance guys rather than inductance if they are staying on dimly, but my bets are on switch to start with.
