main bonding stopcock

Hi guys,

if you where on a job where in a house where there was no stop cock where the water pipe comes into the house. but there is one on the first floor would you bond within 660mm of that or where the pipe comes into the house?

Contact the water company to move the stopcock.

Where the pipe enters the house, so long as its before any branch off's on the water pipe & easily accessible not a problem.

Thanks. What a very quick reply!!

Chatting to my friend the other day and he had this very situation I would have bonded the incoming pipe but he did it to the stopcock on the first floor

Neither can I , but I suppose anyone inspecting would go for the entry point. If I can't see or find the main stop valve it goes anywhere we can reach TBH.

i would probably bond on entry and unbroken to client side of stop cock then board.
