Anyone know a good deal for the old , red , Makita  PA18  1.3ah batts   ...as top left in photo

Yes ..I was thinking of the genuine,  thought you may have spotted some dodgey ones  and probably should buy another drill .....there are two batts on the well known site for £999.00   Hmmmm!  real bargain !!   Whats all that about ?

@Evans ElectricMaybe, depends how much you are willing to spend? time vs money.

You can re-cell for about a tenner and probably have some spares left over for another day. but if like me you have courgette all free time and these things take ages to get sorted you may as well buy a new one.

I'd have to agree with Andy, for what you can get a new one for it's really not worth considering is it?

I think you're right ,  I like Bosch stuff  ..  The Makita sounding a bit grumbly too , my mate reckons you can get that model , without batts for £13  but then it becoming like Trigger's Everlasting  Broom  , with all those new stales and broom heads.

That Bosch that Andy said about is pretty damn good, I have one though with x2 3Ah batteries. It's got 65Nm of torque. Not as grunty as my Makita 18V (80Nm) but usefully short in tight spaces. Nice little touch on the batteries with the 3 LED power meter too.

i know its good, i have one! much better than the 18v makita that it replaced

also got the impact one with 1/4 hex & 1/2 square drive

and a lot of the 10.8v stuff...
