Isn't expanding just getting rid of the brackets.

So,

could be wrong.

EDIT: You can check your answer to a question like this by assuming a value of T and calaculating the original formula and then the new one using the same value

No; T to the 4th power plus 3 times T to the fourth power

nope, never needed many formulas other than the basic V=IxR etc

When multiplying out brackets the term outside the bracket

must be multiplied by all terms within.

Look at the calculation for temperature coefficients in the OSG.
