Its the printers again .  The thing on the right just out of picture is the platemaker .  The air duct & fan at the top causes the room to have positive air pressure which prevents  the paper dust from the pressroom adjacent from entering and affecting the  plate making process.  .  

Since we did this , there would be a 2" layer of paper dust in here by now but as you can see its relatively clean .

I used filtered positive air pressure for my darkroom.

Dust is the enemy with anything to do with printing. It ruined a set of magazine page foils, nothing major, £2500 down the drain. Page foils are the negatives for the plate maker we can’t see in Deke’s photograph. After that I moved over to digital for publishing work. This was twenty plus years ago so it was a bloody expensive decision.

My other photographic work was B&W printing so the darkroom had to be dust free.

Damned insomnia, it’s 06:05 and I haven’t been to bed since 05:00 yesterday.
