My metrel 3125 has a voltage drop test facility along with Isc, Z and Z ref. If for example i test a socket on a ring i can input the 5% voltage drop parameter type of protective device and rating (A) of device. Hit test and if will pass or fail regarding the voltage drop!!!.I not sure how it has the audacity :) . What i have worked out is if i select 32A 60898 mcb, the Z value it gives mulitpled by the 32A selected does tally with the voltage drop it displays. How can this meter effectively give you a R1+Rn measurement, and, does it draw 32A to enable it to this work out VD. Hope this makes sense. Its a clever piece of kit, hey? :)
