Lucky man old Dad is visiting.

They are one & the same ............. My old man can remember as a nipper having to use A Pole when ploughing, with his Dad using Shires to pull the plough (yes he is that old).

1 Pole = 5.5 yards or 5 paces & thats what they used to use to measure the length of the fields/furrows.

I like the old measurements sometimes they are closer on the tape when measuring so 12 inches can be quite useful rather than 305mm.

I want one of those tape measures that have mm on both sides. I dont understand why they still produce imperial tapes anyway
