Ok changed a single pendant to 4x IP65 down lighters in what was a kitchen, now being converted to a bathroom (all other circuits now removed)

Circuit protected with addition of an RCD in circuit as the 6 way in this 1st floor annex did not have RCD in situe

So..

Would you fill in a MWC as an addition/alteration to the lighting circuit?, or an EIC since I've had to provide additional protection via an RCD?

I have all the readings so can complete either

Paperwork!!!!

I would stick to a minor works certificate, under the description you have supplied it would be sufficient

Cheers guys

My first thought was MWC, but spotted 'protection device' in the EIC guidelines

and notify due to the location.
LABC already involved due to moving soil pipe, thought it worth checking that I'm right on MWC, just in case this chap is reading a different BRB to the rest of us :D

I would agree a MWC would suffice...

but if you did want to do an EIC that wouldn't be a probelm...

the problem only arises if it SHOULD be an EIC and you only do a MWC!

If in doubt.. go back to Big Red and check page 163

Chapter 63 Cert's & reporting

Regs 631.1 -> 631.5 recap the main points.

Specifically 631.3 defined MWC work!

Then also Appendix 6 notes on top of page 336!

Then thats your 'bottom-end' tucked firmly in your pants I believe! :) ;)
