Just wondering how everyone gets on with their assessment, had mine today and yet another very enjoyable inspection, the field officer was just a regular guy with a sense of humour, wonder how you get on with yours as I have heard some horror stories from members of certain electrical bodies so just wondering is this true.

NICEIC AC,

I get 2 guys usually on a split visit,

one is sometimes a little too straight for me, but certainly fine to get on with,

we have a chat about various oddball situations, and last time I threw a personal interpetation Q at him and all the way back from the job he had his nose stuck in my regs book and agreed that there was no definitive answer to cover all scenarios.

as an aside Mike, now you have a location up,

is there a pub you know of round there called "the artful dodger" ?

Had no problems with my NAPIT assessment, very nice guy, plenty of questions and scenarios answered and he gave me plenty of good advice too. His name was Martin Yorke.

tbh assessment = total waste of time

i feel like just saying 'heres yer money now do one'

usually follows the same line of questions

no i dont want your pi insurance

no im not interested in becoming msc accredited

no i dont need tool insurance

yes i can notify online

no i dont have any problems

did you follow up that conservatory company who i reported for installing four spurred sockets from the cooker circuit switch outlet that had been wired up in 1950's 2core(no earth - rubber cable)

nic cert showing some very impressive readings, loop test was particularily fictional....rcd test result was outstanding for an original wylex cu and the invisible 10mm bond to the gas and water neatly unclipped....

how about the .... ohh he's gone..

cheerio same time next year?

i know bout my assessors dad's dementia than he knows about my calibration check box thats never been opened..... oops:innocent
