For ages now I've been saying the lottery is rigged, last night something happened that further reinforced my belief that this is true, one "lucky" ticketholder won the jackpot of 30 odd million. Now recently they've had a lot of bad press, the papers have been full of articles on how people have only been getting a few hundred quid for 5 numbers, then it has emerged that the new numbers introduced recently have been drawn well more than an average number of times.

Now before anyone says it isn't possible consider the following, the balls are opaque, you cannot see inside them. The machine that makes the draw has 2 lights on it and if you watch closely, sometimes you will see the lights flash and the ball that should have been drawn has been thrown back into the drum. Now if we consider the small chips that are implanted into dogs, these are smaller than a grain of rice and could easily be concealed within a ball,a reader in the tube could then cause a winning ball to be rejected quite easily using a computer. The system knows all possible winning combinations before the draw takes place and could be programmed to reject certain numbers to make a big win impossible, then when popularity begins to wane they programme it to throw out one big win like they did last night, keep an eye on it and you'll see,the minute sales drop someone has a big win, coincidence? I don't think so.

Now look at the health lottery setup, the balls are transparent and there is no flashing light controller thing where the balls emerge, they just go up a shoot and are drawn.I'd love to get hold of a set of those balls, imagine the outcry when I was proved right.

The lottery is related to money it therefore by default has to be fixed. You are quite correct in your observations, when popularity is on a downer there is a sudden huge jackpot available. It always amazed me how these large jackpot always coincided with certain holidays in the calendar? If the lottery was genuine then how would they  a) know when a large jackpot would be available? B) get the funds for this jackpot-for isn't the monies raised supposed to be paid out in prize money either to successful players or successful bidders for grants? Just goes to show how much more money they make than they actually spend/donate. Stopped playing it a year or so after it came out.

Try to stay away from all money related things.

I am unable to stop playing the lottery as I've done the same numbers since it started spending £4 a week. I was going to give it up when it went up to £2 a ticket but bottled it....and now stump up £8 a week.

Guaranteed if I give it up my numbers will then come up and I'll be shown up as a example of what happens to those who stop playing.

They've got MY number(s)!

roulette?

lost lots of money on roulette... :| made loads back playing blackjack and poker! :D

If you got a better chance of being struck by lightning it's time to start making your own luck!

My first thoughts are .... what is this fantasy that such an up front , in yer face , openly drawn system can be rigged .

You'll be saying next that the organisation of International Football and World Cup Football is rigged and corrupt .

That never crossed my mind even when they chose Quatar....a country not exactly full of footballing types and  @ 700 degrees in the shade , not exactly the best choice to play soccer in .

And not even in the final of the World Cup in France, did I suspect something amiss when a team like Brazil , playing France ,  play like the Accrington Stanley Brass Casters and Jam Butty Miners Eleven ..................their big star of the time hiding in the dressing room , not wanting to come out .

Or that goal scored by Frank Lampard was ruled out , even though the whole stadium and  500 million viewers  could see it over the line .    Enough to make some sort of sceptic think something was amiss .

Also,  I'm constantly amazed at people who think  they will win the Lottery , at odds of 40,000,000  to 1  and when they do , their winning numbers are also their National insurance  number or their Mom's birthday  .      Thats going to treble the odds against straight away.

I've had man flu most of this week (on my first annual leave for over 6 months) :vomit

So I've had a bit of time for daytime TV, quest mostly, the adverts: gambling and payday loans and that's pretty much it apart from the the odd coffee machine.

I'm sure it never used to be like that, Gordon Brown I suppose.

The futures Bright, the futures built on fake money and false promises!

:(

Anyone want to set up a gold mine in Alaska??

I used to know a girl that dealt the blackjack table on the Dublin Holyhead ferry, (I think),  she once told me to always bet half of the next lowest amount,

The dealer wasn't interested in you getting a fiver off them, they would pull in all the other punters money and still make 10/1 profit on your win.

I don't do the lottery. On the odd occassion I play a one armed bandit I have a double my money and walk away policy. Normally do not go over £10 to start with so if I get to a score that is me done. If I lose it is not the end of the world.

Cronic gamlers tend to only tell you when they win and hide when they loose.

Online gambling

they know in advance EVERY bet placed....so,what is to,stop them rigging the roulette winning number to produce the minimum amount of payout?

conspiracy?

think about it...

I think it's worse than that, more about hooking you in with an algorithm which creates a false sense of security and feeds the addict.

It's really bad stuff but if the government says is okay....

<_<

Roulette and blackjack. But I only play for fun so always stick to the minimum bets and have a set amount to spend. Made a £5 loss last night, not much for an evenings entertainment really :)  But I did hear someone say "I've only lost £375 so far tonight"! Makes you wonder if some people are made of money...

Not spent much time in casinos lately, funnily enough they don't let kids in....

I do remember one guy running in with all his mates carrotted, shouting a grand on red slaming his cash on the table just in time for  the ball to land on black, the guy was gutted and I think he went straight home.

I also went to the bookies the other day to put some bets on the grand national for people who were to afraid to go in a

Betting shop, what a depressing place... All the local old boys who are usually quite friendly and would stop for a chat, transfixed like zombies to the gg's or a fixed odds terminal. Very sad place full of false hope and despair.
