Sometimes fast moving technology seems to leave me behind , so, what exactly is an 8 track cassette player .? :C

Sometimes my mind goes back to a slower and simpler time , when kids could walk to school on their own and we could ride our bikes on the road and play in the street safely . On a freezing winter's night , my dad would come in from work and mom would do us toast with a toasting fork, held against the coal fire in the kitchen, we didn't have much but they made us kids feel safe and loved .

They've been gone a long time now so if you still have your parents , don't take them for granted ..............and I've had a couple from KME's fridge.....and this is becoming an episode from The Waltons .........or the first episode of Coronation Street........strange how we grew up in black and white 'aint it ?

Oh dear I ought to delete this ..we live in a different world now ....oh I'll leave it ....shall I Brian ? :C OK and its past your bedtime too !!!

Ah Yes , forgot that , and of course as you walked through t' streets , from somewhere came t' music........ Dvorak's " New World Symphony "

And there was always a" pea souper" fog from all the coal burning houses and factories. Lovely !!!

You're right there Sprocket , colour was invented in 1960 if I remember correctly , dull, boring music was banished in about 1958 when "Heartbreak Hotel" hit our shores, girls legs were invented about 1963 .

Well not exactly Sidey, they had mutated by then but glided around like Daleks until suddenly mini skirts and Hot pants were invented and girls were revealed to have not only knees but thighs also.
