No local isolation

No isolation except  the supply circuit breaker for  external  A/C units, no manufacturers instructions . Is this always a C2  It is in my eyes but checking before i   complete a report, that anyone may have a reason its a C3

Agree with the above but this is a glaring issue now we have RCD's ................ how can you provide DP isolation using a MCB to "rule out" a fixed appliance being the cause of a RCD trip?

Isn’t there a requirement for local isolation within 2m of equipment for maintenance purpose? 

I know all our AC installs have an isolators adjacent to outdoor unit.

Never seen AC without a local isolator, think I would agree it's bad practice to rely on MCB as this does not isolate Nuetral. C2, not sure?

Air conditioning is machinery, which will require a single point of isolation independent to the fixed installation.

Deffo C3, C2 may be a bit strong.

no one takes any notice of C3 so C2 to point out origina installer failed to do job properly?
