Don't wash your hands in warm water after handling smelly foods! They cook into your skin so I was told making it harder to get the smell out.

Try shaving foam, that used to work when I had been sea fishing and had all of those nasty fishy smells on my hands and it also got rid of the strange dye that used to come out of lugworms when baiting up the fishing hooks.

It must have masked the smell because when i was picking my nose in bed later on i could still smell those onions.
:slap

That is why you keep smelling onions then. :D

Try washing your nose instead :)

incidentally, do you know why onions make your eyes water when you cut them up?

Swarfega!!! Might just do it. Rub it into the hands before wetting them under the tap Or what about Bicarbonate of soda?

Coca cola! Soak hands in it for few mins then rinse with cold water. As the warm water will open the pores on your skin thus allowing your skin to absorb more of the 'smell! Cold water keeps pores closed thus no absorption

Placing an onion in a bucket of water "absorbs" smells in a room e.g. new paint, cats etc. SO........by that reckoning you could sit with your hands in a bucket of water...I'll stop there! :coat
