Hi all

Just purchased this book: Fantastic!!!

Anyway, On page 47, bottom diagram, it states that the garage DB has a rating of 32A, and a 16mm2 line. in the OSG table 7.1 the highest cable size for a 32A mcb is 10mm2, and for 16mm2 cable a 40A mcb is stated.

My question is, what am I missing? (Apart from experience) :C

If I read your post correctly then I think you have taken things the wrong way around, the smalles cable for a 32 would be 10, the smallest cable for a 40 would be 16.

You may often need a cable larger than that in the table to accomodate for volt drop over distance for example amongst other things.

Many thanks for your explaination. It makes sense now. How many times the answer stares you in the face and all it needs is someone else to show you. What a numpty I am

Cheers
