Took my 2382-10 today - got 59 correct out of 60, (and the Q i got wrong was so ambiguous!!) how anyone can fail this exam!!!!! Not an exam in my book. if you cant find info in book with all the answers, are you in the wrong job???

Sorry, I agree about the exam, & as Admin says well done mate.

I appologive for the congratulations not being in my 1st post.

It may not be before 2014, in fact I doubt it will, I am guessing there will be after the Green book another 3, yellow, blue & then brown, then we will have the 18th.

The 15th lasted 10 yrs (ish), the 16th, 17 yrs (ish) including the time before it became a B.S.

Thing is technology is changing rapidly at the moment.

Many of the ancilliary standards are currently being re-written, a HUGE number in fact, the machinery standards have just undergone a large re-vamp.

I don't believe that the 17th will last even 10 yrs at current rates!

was told today that the colour has not yet been agreed, althiugh IET are showing Green for pre-order of update it may even yet be Purple - Yipee

It will be Green Steve, it has already been agreed, many years ago, the IEE are a very old fashioned institute trust me! (MIET)

Hence why I can quote the up coming colours!...

I give the 17th probably 5 years lifespan. Interestingly the updates were mostly written before the 17th came out but failed to make the 3rd or 4th delay in printing. Such is good debate and proof reading.

Well done on passing the test, I did mine in 13 minutes and scored 98% .
