when I did my apprenticeship, first year was college 5 days a week and then day release one day a week after that. college was 25 miles away and we were given the train fare even if 5 of us squeezed into a car and shared the cost.

Sounds like a decent boss, do your bit for him and work / study hard - you'll find us employer types can be very helpful to those who make an effort :^OHi everyone not that you'll really be interested lol but i asked my boss today about my travel and the company are going to cover my travel costs
What college are you at? I went to college in Aberdeen and if i kept my bus or train tickets they would refund the money but they wont give you petrol money. Did this untill some of us lads passed out driving test then did lifts and shared fuel expenses. Hope this helps
