Cant comment..

cuz I haven't? :(

BUT

I would say, do a quick straw pole of all your friends & family ask them where they would go to to find and electrician.. (excluding asking YOU of course!!)

Is Joe public aware of the planning permission website??

I don't think it would be my first choice if looking for a trades person?

Is it FREE? if yes nought to loose!! give it a shot! :)

What I am meaning is to look at the planning applications that have been submitted in your area and sending them a flyer offering your services if they are approved.

AH!!!

DOH!!

the art of misunderstanding the question..BlushingBlushing:p

I shall have to stick me pants on me head again I think!!! :_| :^O

In answer to the amened questions...

No I haven't?

But may be worth a shot..

You would need a fairly simple and straight forward flyer I think..

not to complicated or deatailed... :)

only down point may be that the builders who quote for the jobs would normally have their own sparks or contact and they like doing a job-lot quote for everything..

Building/plumbing & electrics etc... :(

why change the habit of a life time :^O

I haven't looked but...... Other threads have run here (Cue Apache) about Local councils advertisers ( is that a word) that are sent with planning applications. I have along with friends in other trades and a 100% waste of money. Not a ****y bird. I suppose if someone has got to the planning stage, then they have already had a price off contractors they know. Add to that the 'Credit Crunch' right now, not many are building.
