Recently heating stopped working as thermostat no longer ‘clicking’. The bathroom tiles have recently felt warm and the pipes connected to the boiler in the cupboard appear to be covered in condensation. Also noticed that the tiles seem to be ‘coming up’ but no water bursts or anything. Any advice before calling plumber out?

if the thermostat is no longer clicking, then its probably dead and needs replaced

Thank you, any idea on the tiles ‘rising’ or floor feeling hot. There’s no visible water and have lifted a few tiles but can’t see at the moment so fingers crossed it’s not a burst pipe

No under floor heating and only in the last few weeks it’s felt hot, thanks

Hello, yes all linked. I know it’s not ideal we’ve left it but been the worst time of year

Call an electrician first to fix the thermostat.

Condensation on pipes is probably the cold feed to the boiler.

I would be worried about condensation on the pipes in a cupboard. Is it a Combi? If the system pressure has not dropped (pressure gauge) then it could be mains water leaking somewhere. Do you have a water meter fitted?
