YepWere they 'Top of the pops' with the scantily clad ladies on the cover, or am i mixing it up with the real artists ones which were a forerunner to todays 'Now'?
Pickwick label also put out cheepies by soundalikes.
The one I am looking for was going for £6k on ebay"it is one of the 100 original, pressings!Whatever it is Kerch , it has to be in pristine condition . Unless you have a 10" LP of Elvis's early Sun recordings , must be on the HMV label though.
Kerch ...can you remember the cheapo versions of the latest hit songs , as you say K-Tel etc ...I'm thinking of the crapo versions put out by Woolworths I think , @ half the price .....latest hit song version by someone you never heard of .
A couple of those Lp's are worth a few bob now as Elton John did some session work on them in the early 70's so now sought after. I think he did Ray Dorsets voice in Mungo Jerry's In the summertime & the lead on Bridge over troubled water. Were they 'Top of the pops' with the scantily clad ladies on the cover, or am i mixing it up with the real artists ones which were a forerunner to todays 'Now'?
