PV Monitoring system

Assuming that there will still be a Solar PV market in 2012 and beyond i would be interested if any of you think there is a market for something like this.

It looked like a usefull addition to offer the client to me, i think some come with the inverter but i'm not sure.

The cost of this unit is around

I can see a market for this,

almost every install I have done the client has wanted some form of monitoring,

most have simply plumped for an energy monitor clamped on the invertor tails (so to speak),

so a more purpose designed unit should do better,

and, TBH, another 100

We're working on a system which can gather data from meters and publish it to a portal on which the customer can login and view statistics. A couple of examples of this already exist, it's really interesting technology. One would assume this kind of thing would interest a lost of the people considering they have been quoted performance stats for their system, they should be able to compare.

Useful for finding faults also but I yearn for a day where we can monitor individual panels easily.
