I have been installing now for three and a half years. We are snowed under with work and booked up until October.

You will need to go on a course like this

http://www2.cat.org.uk/shortcourses/product_info.php?***th=1_7&products_id=122&osCsid=961dd4d3758b956bc1155c3cdea12b40

This will teach you the basics but you will need to gain lots of practical experience.

The equipment is very costly and you will need a big bank balance initially until you build up trust with the major suppliers

There is mountains of paperwork to undertake on each job and to keep the MSC accreditation up to date.

On top of this you will be up against other companies who will have lots of installations already completed which they can show to potential new customers.

Good luck its hard work but the rewards are high.

This is the answer I was gived off a guy on another forum who had be in the solar pv game for a few years .. HTH Ste

Hi,Im in the middle of trying to get a detailed post sorted out on this,

just got no time at the minute to get it up here.

it can be pretty expensive to get started,(ie, a special crimp tool costs over

what was the course called and you had anywork after it. also how do you go about getting the work
SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC

or Solar PV for short,

yes, work is coming in quite well for us, (I work for a firm, but Im the only solar guy)

as well as doing a MCS course, you need the firm to be accreditated too, and you need to be a member of yet another scam for MCS as well.

google " realassurance " for an example.

of course you can install solar PV without any of this, but your customer will not get any FIT or generation prices.

set aside at least

Hi Guys,

If you are looking to offer the Feed In Tariffs with your Solar PV installations you will need to be MCS Certified and the course you go on for your Solar PV needs to be a certified course so make sure you dont pay money for a course that isnt certified because it wont be considered on your MCS inspection.

If you want details on the feed in tariffs have a look at this http://www.mcsaccredited.com/website/index.php/default/mcs-scheme/feed-in-tariffs.html

If anyone has any questions on the MCS Scheme and what you need to do to become accredited, you can give us a call or PM.

Cheers

Easy MCS
