hi

a 3 phase board no rcd protection on two ring final circuits, difficult to find rcbo's for board.

would the next best option be to run from a breaker in the board to an rcd board with two 32 amp breakers then off to the individual rings.

if this is correct apart from obviously a new board what size breaker should be used in the board.

cheers

That could cause a problem, as you`d need to source a new sized MCB for the TP board.....

Usually, the two options are RCBo or RCD sockets - as long as the cable isn`t in need of protection, too.

I`d either fit external RCDs ( no need for breakers; its already covered on the board :) )

Or larger MCB in the TP board; and RCBo`s in adjacent enclosure.

What is the TP board make / MCB style code?

not sure what board it is. have just been told the situation. would this require two separate rcds for the separate rings or could both go through the same rcd

cheers

Most economical option probably would be 2 individule RCDs in an enclosure next to DB and route 2 Rings thru it from existing MCBs.

Requirement for RCD is the first Q surely?

3 ph install not in a premises under the control of a competent person, or beng used by instructed persons could be an issue...
