Hi, if you run cables in surface mini trunking up the walls and through the floor joists on the ground and higher floor to storage heaters is RCD protection required? It because i need to add 3 storage heater circuits off a old wylex 3036 board which is obviously not RCD protected and im not sure if the ceiling/floor is an area which requires RCD protection of the cable. thanks

50mm rule looks like the obvious answer. If installed properly the circuits would not require RCD protection.

Check the size of the main switch on that wylex board because it think it will be only 60amp so check your loading
