Remove control box from LED chaser lights

Can I remove the control box from a LED rope light? It returns to the default setting (flashing) every time it is turned off. I only need them to be on steady and not flashing when switched on. 

Control box has an input of 

AC 220V-240V .50Hz

Output 1x0.84A

Buy some LED strip from eBay cheap as chips..

Well not chips down ere £2 for a small portion msl:

Just looked at them a bit more closely and they are actually micro bulbs not LEDs. 

Box says:

"Non-replaceable micro bulbs: 6.5v/70mA/0.455W

This item operates 220-240 -50Hz 117.6W"

if you do buy those from ebay, throw the power supply away. The plug doesnt comply with any standards and ill bet there is a fake fuse in it. Ive had a few of those and had 2 powersupplies `melt` their casing

I've never ordered one with a psu.

Always have my own or use a dc supply.

I usually use a supplier not far from me via eBay.
