By the time you've paid postage it's only 16 quid for the fitting/service I think.

I've had it apart before, it'd be really easy to do, but they'll clean it up and re-grease the gears for that (apparently)

 
Really is borderline whether worth it. I don't like throwing things out so would likely try having it fixed. Do they offer any warranty with it?

 
Well my drill was playing up big time today so I went the the service centre and bought the motor and replaced it myself in < 5mins... and it now feels like a new drill,, soooo much better (rear bearing had collapsed)

if it lasts me another year or two then that'll be great... too close to Christmas to be spending out on a new 18v 3Ah drill:(
