The main thing with working in flats is, is there a flat above with a tenant who won't welcome their floors ripped up with no advantage to themselves ?

I work on all re-wires with two per house.

I get the joiners in first to lift all the floor boards.

Then I get the restructural lads in to perform the neccesary building changes for accomodating the cables, then I go in and place all my wires in place, then the joiners come back to clip the cables in place(they have a tool called a hammer for this job), then they replace all the floorboards.Next comes the plasterers who re scim all the walls and foam fill all the gaps.After that the 12 decorators come in to redecorate followed by the 5 cleaners.

And my cables are cut to size by the Wholesaler, after I measure and use my free texts, to text through the sizes I require.

I save money on side cutters that way too.

They also make the ends off for me too.

i can plaster and quite good at it but i dont offer it on my rewires as it takes about an extra day -day an half and ive found that can lose you a job as most just look a the bottom figure and usualy think they can save money by doing it themselves with a bit of polyfiller

second floor flat so is that the top or middle floor. big big big diffrence to price and if its mid floor then probably surface job as tons of chases if insulated ceiling or concrete ceiling

about 10 years ago i had to do a tower block in that crappy mk coving trunking.....what an effin nightmare you need a perfectly square rom and level ceilings to get the lid to look right
