Anyone any thoughts on this?

https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/sunday-29th-september/product-detail/ps/p/rugged-mobile-phone/

Being somewhat of a dinosaur, I only want a phone to make telephone calls, and send a text message if your really really must.

And I want something that won't break easilly.

My previous Nokia phone (remember them?) was brilliant but the battery failed and the cost of a new battery was silly.

I now have a Samsung phone. It's a POS and I would not recommend it to my worst enemy.

So has anyone tried one of these?  It has the added advantage that when I go sailing I wouldn't have to worry about getting it wet.

But I don't want to buy one without a recommendation, otherwise I'm fearful it might just be a more expensive POS than my Samsung phone.

My money is it will be a rebadged Samsung solid....

It is however dual sim.

Interesting that it only has a 1 year warranty, whereas a lot of Aldi electrical goods have 3 years warranty.

Doc H.

Where it says  Not suitable for Three Mobile  network  ...is that a misprint for TMobile  ?

It has a rugged look about it TBH   and IP 67 .
3 network seems to be different to other networks and there mobiles are a nightmare to unlock in fact I have one that can't be unlocked.

I'm still using a Nokia 6300  , only 4 years old , looks about as modern as a B&W  CRT  Telly now :C   .  The Sellotape holding it together doesn't help I guess.      I'd enclude a pic but can't get it to photo itself.

I have an old nokia phone mine probably is around four years old. Most people have these smart phones nowadays.

I just need a phone to make calls and the odd text. It doesn't need to make the tea.

Ruddy hell Batts, you mean I can get an app to make the apple make tea! Why haven't you mentioned it sooner.
