Hello Guys,

Is it possible that I could use two seperate BT Routers on the same line to work two seperate PCs/a PC and a Laptop? One upstairs and one down?

Many Thanks,

Admin.

PS. The routers are both BT Voyager 210 ADSL Routers.

I'm assuming you don't want run wireless

You can only have 1x ADSL modem per incoming line, as Patch points out run a Cat5e (Cat4??? Patch, is this a Vets version?) cable out of one of the router RJ45 ports, or use one of the mains based products such as Devolo AV200, plugged into the ADSL router

you can't, sorry

When you connect a router to your phone line it automatically logs onto your ISP and gets an IP address. If you had 2 doing that at the same time then it'd play havoc with your connection.

No Wireless option?

Bumff says its two hardwired computers max?

We have wireless/wired Belkin jobbie....

currently with 3 hardwired connections

and when all the kids are in upto three laptops running wireless as well...

It can slow down a touch when the flippin daughters are watching the programs they missed on I-Player!!!! headbang :_|

As t'others have said only 1 router can talk to the ADSL kit in the BT exchange at a time...

or its like three people trying to talk to each other simultaneously! :_|

Thanks Guys,

No, I don't want wireless, Thanks.

If I get some time later, I will pop back on (Admin 2's Party).

Did you all get your invites?

Regards,

Admin.

The best solution if you do not want any wireless is to hard wire as others have suggested.

I run 3 pc's and various game machines on a network through one router, I have a 20meg connection so that helps with usage, only one of the pc's is hard wired the rest are wireless but on the same shared network.

I think I'll go for the Plug in option.

3 Plugs to work two PCs, if I have seen it correctly?

Many Thanks,

Admin.

Bump.

Has anyone seen these 200Mbps ones around in a three pack? I can't find any.

you can only have 1 mac address from 1 phone line .. i would go cat5/6 from router if you do not want wifi connection ..
