For everyone else's benefit - an Arab is a type of horse!

Where are they? How many are there? How long have they been there?

appologies my post can be quite concise and some times duplicated.

about a month i think, different parts of the body, underbelly, inside of hind quaters (is that what there called), there are 6 its my mums horse will get some def info off her.

thanks for the quick answer

Also ask if since she noticed them if they have got bigger. Are they in a place that any tack/rugs can rub?

A bigger picture of the horse might add some perspective as would some kind of scale! ;) (or an estimate of size)

The best answer i can give, with the info I have is they might be sarcoids

i will get some more info.

a rug could rub, but tack wise he is still a bit young so does not were it often.

thanks for the advise.

i have seen pics of horses with bad sarcoids, it aint good

started in may, and are getting bigger, the biggest is about the size of a cherry stone( :coat )

there are 3,

1 on chest

inside of back leg and

underbelly

i will see if i can get some better pics tommorrow

thanks again

From what you say I think it is quite likely that they may be sarcoids.

To be fair any lump on a horse has to be thought as being one.

:(

Not what you wanted to hear. Will be please to see further pics!

its not great,

u can get creams for it though.

do u know if any good or just a temp fix

thanks

The cream prepared by Liverpool University is excellent. Has to be applied by a vet as it contains some nasty chemotherapy drugs. Usually works very well.

am i right in thinking that if they are big enough , can you not tie rubber band around them so they fall off?
we have small rubber bands they use for castrating lambs, but the sarcoid has to be the correct shape and diameter. The last thing you do is take a scalpel to it - can make them spread badly!

liverpool uni asked for pic and said they would send some cream, we sent them and a few weeks later they asked to resend them as they could not open them, we did this and still not got back to us, i will try them again, but i did not know about the vet needing to apply it,

thanks patch will chase up liverpool uni

Certainly used to be vets only to apply. They may have changed it. Pictures very important (to them).

Let us know how you get on!
