Hi all,

I have recently got hold of one of these signs. Its an LED array and is about 3' long. Has an RJ11 socket on one end with a cable attached with an RS232 on the end. Anyone know where I can get hold of the programme I need to install on my computer to run it?

I have got a sign like that, mine is listed as "qtx light" I wonder do they all come from the same place in China?

Like yours, mine has a RJ11 socket, it also has a USB interface to plug the RS232 plug into, it may not work without it, as when the software is loaded it asks which coms port it is on.

I got my software, cable and plugs from ebay for £20

I would post a picture of my sign, but as I am new, i am not allowed to. Sorry.

We have a 'cafe' style service on sunday nights which is open to anyone who wants to come in, We have various musical events and even had a local version of Britains Got Talent last week. It would be great to have a programmable billboard like this in the lobby with an eyecatching display letting folks know whats on.

I have to ask, have you not got a "remote control" for your sign?

Although using the software via a pc is better in the long run, it can create "errors" unless you are watching the sign as you upload from the pc, where as you don't get this problem with the remote control.

I have also seen the software available for just £15 inc p & p on a well known auction site

I'm surprised nobody has suggested that Richard the Ninth should "lend" his copy of software to Rev James to try it.

If it works, he know what to go and buy. :innocent
