If it's a gas pipe do anything with it at your own risk!

It has been said on here before that if your trade insurance covers you as an electrician you may not be covered for a fire from a blowtorch.

More than a grain of truth here, We complain about kitchen fitters and plumbers doing the Electric, but seems it's ok for us to do the job of a gas Safe person. Me I wont touch gas with a bargepole, let alone something that is hot

used it a few times, have a few lengths in the van. expensive stuff though, so rarely used for day to day jobs

working in a very nice big expensive house was cutting floor boards, the water was off. Pulled up one of the boards to discover i had cut right through 2 plastic pipes that had lazily been notched into the top of the beams. Thank god the water was off!
