The only problem is when a break occurs elswhere in the cable or the cable is cut to accomodate some other wiring and the electrician sleeves the wrong strand.

Possible, but should not happen, but possible.

I have been told to de-neutralise black on a three core cables and use grey for neutral (sheathed blue)... using black as cpc (sheathed green/yellow).

Do you sheath the uninsulated earth at brown for the switched live?!

Hi,

This is for a SWA cable, using black as CPC ... as well as making steel armoured off to banjo.

Did i get the wrong end of the stick
