Hi I have 07 Superb Classic, the interior reading light of the car has a reading light. It has four lights , two reading white lights and two colored LED lights. I want to change the LED lights to another color. My problem is I dont know what spec they are, where to buy new ones and what solder to use in the changing of the LED's? Only tools I have is a digital multimeter and a 70W solder kit. I have written to SKODA for exact spec on the LED's.

I have some Sn99.3Cu0.7 All Flux 0.7mm ?

Hello Ledchanger, welcome to the forum. This is primarily a forum debating domestic commercial and industrial fixed electrical wiring to UK wiring regulations. Although we do have some members into cars, bikes, electronics, PC's and other such hobby type interests. So it may be best to allow a day or so to give chance for our members to log in a view the posts. Hopefully someone may be able to point you in the right direction.

Is it really worth it with a Skoda? ;)

You're bound to get some chocolates for Christmas, use a circle of film over the led to change the colour.

Remember - the heated rear window is to keep your hands warm when pushing the car.

:D

Skoda is now owned by Volkswagen Audi so the old Skoda jokes are a thing of the past

I'm gutted to read this as I was just about to post 36 of my favourite Skoda jokes. I will PM them to you Septicleccy as I know you love my humour.

Actually, Skodas are really good cars now and have been for some time.

You can be certain that the LEDs are 12 volt ones. Just look for some of a similar size at maplins.

Or look on ebay for someone who repairs the modules.

A 70W iron will almost certainly fry the LEDs unless you're v careful. 25 or 35W more like it.

You'll get no help from any manufacturer with this type of queery!
