Being pedantic but I'm after sourcing some 5.08mm and 7.62mm connectors to fit a (sliding) gate control PCB. Usually the PCB gets mounted with the gate motor but this is going in an enclosure INSIDE the garage. It comes with plugs but they "present" the cables the wrong way for my liking. The wires come out "at you" and the screw terminals are vertically under the front edge. There's slotted tray going on the backplate and plugs with the orientation I've drawn would suit better. Cheers

The existing plugs shown on the board:

What I'm ideally after:

I've two panels to do, one already done and working - I just want to tidy the old one as and when and make the new one in the photo tidy from the off.

2 x 7.62mm pitch, 3 way

then

2 x  5.08mm pitch, 3 way
2 x  5.08mm pitch, 8 way
2 x  5.08mm pitch, 9 way

NO idea on the existing plug make. Maybe something Italian. Even the gate gear supplier doesn't know. I've tried RS, Phoenix Contacts and LMI Corp in the States. Note the IMPORTANT bit is that the ROUND undulations on the plugs are opposite the incoming wires.

Cheers

If you are looking for the connectors with the output wires at the bottom of the connector you should search with your specification at Samtec as they are largest connector manufacturer so you will find these connectors there and still if you will not be able to find these connectors on Samtec then try it on Farnell because it is a distributor of electronic components so they have different types of connectors from different manufacturer.

I would search Farnell, CPC and RS first, I'm sure one of them will have them.

I just love "5,08mm" spacing, come on talk real money, it's 0.2 Inch spacing, but they won't print that in a catalogue now.

Still haven't found these connectors!

Did track down the maker of the green ones in the photo in Italy and sent an enquiry but they never came back to me. I only want 2 of each size anyway for two installs. It all works "as is" just to make everything look that bit neater.

I think Paxton Access Net2 connectors  may be  the right ones.

i have loads in the garage

i will have a look when i wake up

As I say NOT essential and only to tidy up this one (a mate did this) and another:

Well, to slightly paraphrase and misquote Clint Eastwood

"how unlucky do you feel......?"

So, unlucky or what!

on the positive side, if you knacker the ones that you already have then "I am the man"
 Thanks so much for looking!

What make are the ones you have anyway? Think I've looked at Phoenix, LMI Corp, Camden Boss, Kontek etc

Is this brand new equipment?

Aas if it is and you start messing around with the plugs etc you may invalidate any warranty the panel manufacutrers give.should you have to call them out for repair

Yes it is brand new gear - about £500 for the sliding gate kit inc a few extras and mechanical bits.

. Italian made gate motor and control board etc. Generally the pcb is mounted down LOW NEAR THE GROUND in a dedicated slot in the base casting with a "loose" clear plastic cover over the top and the wires bunched up through a sloppy hole in the base. WORST IDEA EVER IMHO! The manual does say however the pcb may be mounted remotely. So that's what I do........diecast ali box with a breather fitted. I didn't wire this one just gave pointers to a mate and lengthened a couple cables (by soldering and heat shrinking) for him. Won't ever be a case of calling anyone out for repair tbh. As far as I'm concerned it's vastly improved.

The company seem quite happy ref such "modding" and talking to me over the years about doing such. Doing my own gates with the pcb mounted about 8m from the motor inside a wall mounted enlosure in the garage.

I was just looking to change the orientation of the wires to the board so it looks neater.
