I need to get a dimmer switch to fit in here
http://1drv.ms/1PCLA4t
I estimate that I only have about 2cm clearance so a standard dimmer won't do as the door will hit it. Really can only go marginally bigger than a normal switch.
It appears my 2 options are
1) buy one that is flush and hope the knob doesn't stick out
My only concern with this is whether the dimmer will fit into the backbox as I am guessing any depth you lose is made up in the backbox?
Where screwfix give a depth such as the oen here at 48mm I am guessing that includes the entire unit and not just what sticks out the wall

For example this one says I need a 35mm backbox which is highly unlikely to be the case as I have changed a standard light switch in the house before and they were not that deep.

I also one some knobs stick out a bit as there is a gap with them and the faceplate whereas some are almost totally flush

2) buy something a bit more fancy like this but with one switch
http://www.hager.co.uk/product-catalogue/wiring-accessories/sollysta/white-moulded/white-moulded-dimmers/wmds3/43594.htm
Not sure about cost.
Do these types of dimmers have a name or are they a Hager only design?
