Thought some of you mat be interested.

You have to open these things up to program `em, and the camera was in my hand..........

Above the display are 3 SMT push buttons mate - menu, up, down and enter...all done through a menu tree.

PITA - the ONLY requirement to open it up is to set the country code........then bolt the front back on again.

SMA are the same, ie, open them up to set country code etc,

something else too, just cant remember right now.

other thing Ive noticed recently, the last two SMA I done need opened up to make the connections, they used to be plug in connections,,,,,,

I prefer the open up connections TBH, the plug ones required the cable to be just so of an exact length...

Yes, I agree - though the plugs supplied with Diehl are pretty good.

Paddleit: Yes, you can talk to `em in a few different ways - and if they`re on the `net; you can monitor individual panel outputs and data.

I haven`t opened an SMA up at all yet - the country is set in the little "black box" that you shove up its bum......3 little rotary switches inside........

Not even fitted SMA yet - don't like fan assissted cooling - it's something to beakdown and go wrong
