Been asked to connect controls on a new boiler (not UK, so don't panic). The boiler does hot water and has connections for 2 pumps. The plumbing is connected with the original motorised valve in place but not wired.
The valve seems to have three connections (no earth), which I can use to move it to return the flow to the boiler or back to recirculate.
The boiler only switches the pump on while the boiler is fired up.
My questions are these:
1 Should the pump only run while the boiler is fired up?
2 Under what conditions does the motorised valve need to be switched to recirculate (not send the return feed to the boiler, but to bypass it)?
Answers in words on one syllable (or less) please.
Thanks in advance
